Staff Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama; hybrid, working from home most of the time with some onsite work. Active secret security clearance required.

Base pay: $151,360–$189,200 per year, with potential eligibility for a discretionary bonus or commission plan.

What you will do

• Lead technical efforts and own system architecture and development across the full stack.
• Build external attack surface management technology that maps target organizations from the outside.
• Develop systems that turn observations and inferences into trusted, traceable facts for security analysts.
• Capture the source of each fact and represent human decisions about the information.
• Design a general framework for passive illumination so new data sources can be integrated efficiently.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Extensive experience with React and JavaScript web development frameworks, preferably Next.js.
• Familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, and other authentication and authorization frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment platforms such as Vercel, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with ORM frameworks and relational databases, including Prisma, Drizzle, or PostgreSQL.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Cybersecurity knowledge, including penetration testing, OSINT, and red teaming.
• Active secret security clearance.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic and AI application development.
• Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks and agent-based systems.
