Fullstack Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript/React/Node)

Location: Remote within the United States; must be based in the United States. Hawaii is currently excluded.

Salary: $166,000–$203,000 annual base salary, plus equity; no bonus.

What you will do

• Design and scale robust systems within an autonomous, cross-functional engineering team.
• Build and scale the Employer Portal for awareness campaigns, benefit rollouts, and utilization tracking.
• Develop patient and provider workflows for employer-funded EAP therapy benefits.
• Implement session eligibility, authorization, and billing functionality for pre-authorized care.
• Lead high-priority technical projects from conception through delivery and align stakeholders on trade-offs.
• Support engineering quality through code reviews, technical documentation, and peer mentoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience building and scaling production web applications.
• Deep expertise in modern full-stack development, ideally with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Experience designing complex, scalable, maintainable, and secure distributed systems.
• Ability to lead high-priority technical projects and navigate architectural and product trade-offs.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
• Strong functional and object-oriented programming knowledge.

Nice to have

• Experience developing or integrating LLM-based features or agentic workflows in production applications.
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD optimization.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
• Advanced database design and performance tuning for PostgreSQL and non-relational data stores.
