Controls Trainer (Commercial Refrigeration)

Location: Fully remote in the United States; travel to hirify.global sites, customer sites, training centers, and industry events as needed, with ability to travel 80%.

Salary: $110,000–$125,000 annually.

What you will do

• Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and multimedia training on controls hardware, software, and system architecture.
• Conduct standard and customized courses for customers, contractors, wholesalers, end users, OEMs, and employees across the commercial refrigeration industry.
• Facilitate hands-on equipment demonstrations and troubleshooting exercises covering real-world installation, programming, operation, and service scenarios.
• Maintain and update curricula, exercises, reference materials, e-learning, videos, and job aids in collaboration with the Controls Training Team, instructional designers, Product Management, Engineering, and subject matter experts.
• Evaluate training effectiveness, update materials using learner feedback and field performance data, and maintain and troubleshoot training equipment.
• Provide post-training technical support, monitor industry and competitor developments, and travel to customer sites, training centers, and industry events.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration controls as a field service technician, engineer, or in an equivalent role.
• 2+ years of CO2 system experience focused on controls, including the ability to address common service and troubleshooting questions.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Working knowledge of controls programming, wiring diagrams, and system troubleshooting.
• Ability to travel 80%.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; temporary visa holders and candidates requiring current or future sponsorship are not eligible.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience as a technical trainer for commercial refrigeration controls.
• Experience with hirify.global CO2 controls and equipment.
