Claims Trainer

Location: Remote and hybrid; position is limited to all US locations

Salary: $75,000–$98,000 USD annual base salary, plus potential annual performance-based incentive and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop Claims Department training curricula for new projects, initiatives, policy, and process changes.
• Plan training needs and prepare communication tools, learning materials, job aids, and reference content.
• Deliver training sessions on claims policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Lead discussions, mentor employees, encourage reflection, and support behavior change.
• Identify knowledge gaps and implement solutions to improve employee performance.
• Handle or assist with claim files and provide administrative support during training downtime.

Requirements

• 5+ years of claim handling experience in Commercial Auto, General Liability, and Professional Liability.
• 3+ years of experience developing training programs.
• Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Detailed subject-matter knowledge of marketplace activities, insurance concepts, and industry best practices.
• Advanced research skills and the ability to create relevant, engaging learning materials.
• Bachelor’s degree required in business, education, training, or communications.

Nice to have

• Insurance coursework such as CPCU or IIA.
• Experience adapting between training, administrative, and claim handling responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
