IT Service Technician (Software & Networking)

Location: Kearney, NE, United States; requires same-day local travel 50–75%, occasional regional overnight travel 15–25%, and rotating nights and weekends on-call coverage.

Salary: $19.23–$25.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide technical support, maintenance, and repair for Animal Management Software, computers, and network systems.
• Respond to customer service calls, diagnose software and network problems, and complete repairs.
• Install, configure, test, and support software, computers, and wired and wireless networks at current and new customer sites.
• Provide technical assistance and customer training, maintain post-installation support, and complete service documentation.
• Manage installation equipment, service tools, inventory, vehicle stock, and company assets.
• Follow safety, vehicle maintenance, driving, and business conduct requirements while working in varied environments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of prior experience in a technical, software, or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to design, install, configure, and troubleshoot simple wired and wireless networks.
• Ability to work in varied physical and environmental conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to climb heights from 17 to 200 feet and lift up to 55 pounds.
• Strong customer service skills and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other software systems.
• Availability for required on-call coverage, local and regional travel, and rotating nights and weekends.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in a computer-related field.
• Two years of related experience.
• Experience working in animal agriculture.
• Experience troubleshooting the Windows operating system.
• Wireless networking experience.
