Project Manager (CPG)

Location: Hybrid in Princeton, NJ, USA; in-person attendance is required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work available on Mondays and Fridays.

Base salary: $106,400–$151,400 annually, plus eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

• Lead multi-functional teams in planning, tracking, and delivering projects of varying complexity.
• Manage a project portfolio, assess project interactions and synergies, and support portfolio review and prioritization meetings within R&D.
• Prepare project documentation, plans, timelines, status reports, and management approvals using project management tools.
• Identify resource needs, coordinate functional expertise, manage risks and contingency plans, and resolve conflicts and barriers.
• Lead weekly team meetings, communicate progress and issues to stakeholders, and ensure roles and responsibilities are understood.
• Conduct lessons learned and support continuous improvement of PMO processes, systems, and effectiveness.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution; a science degree is preferred but not required.
• 8+ years of CPG industry experience, preferably in R&D, Operations, or Engineering, within project management.
• Experience successfully managing a portfolio of projects.
• Experience leading multi-functional teams in a matrix organization.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presenting to senior management.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, shifting priorities, and resources.
• Exceptional troubleshooting, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Project management skills, including MS Project, Gantt charts, and cross-functional leadership.
• Excellent computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with a Stage and Gate product development process.
• Experience with FDA-regulated products or cGMP.
• Plant or manufacturing experience.
• Experience with OTC or other regulated product categories.
• PMP certification.
