IT Category Manager

Location: Davidson, North Carolina, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday and flexible work location on Fridays

Annual base salary: $97,406.66–$135,834.99

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of IT Services and Software projects, contracts, and internal business partners to deliver business value and mitigate contractual risk.
• Lead negotiations covering financial, contractual, and commercial terms, working with suppliers, legal, functional leaders, subject matter experts, executive leadership, and business sectors.
• Manage contract lifecycle, compliance, supply continuity, RFx activities, and supplier selection.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term category strategies, including spend segmentation, buying channels, and expansion of the Preferred Supplier Program.
• Monitor and mitigate supplier financial, capacity, quality, and compliance risks while delivering productivity and cost avoidance.
• Oversee Supplier Relationship Management and regular reviews for strategic suppliers against quality, cost, and delivery targets.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in negotiation and management of IT Services and Software, or 5+ years of contract management and/or category management negotiation experience with a desire to lead IT Services and Software category management for a global organization.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5+ years of procurement, sourcing, sales, IT, or contract management experience with large-scale, complex, and/or regional or global categories of spend.
• Demonstrated success assessing, negotiating, and managing vendors while leveraging cross-functional teams.
• Collaboration, facilitation, consultation, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment.
• Strong verbal and written professional communication skills.
