What you will do

• Lead end-to-end category management and strategic sourcing for logistics and transportation services.
• Develop category strategies, sourcing plans, commercial models, rate structures, and supplier recommendations.
• Manage RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, contract awards, implementation, and contract administration.
• Establish supplier performance governance through KPIs, scorecards, business reviews, and corrective action plans.
• Partner with Logistics Operations, Wells, Facilities & Execution, suppliers, and other stakeholders to improve supply continuity and transportation cost efficiency.
• Use market intelligence and digital tools to support capacity planning, network optimization, data-driven decisions, and safe transportation execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, procurement, category management, or a related discipline.
• Experience leading strategic sourcing processes, supplier evaluation, negotiations, contract implementation, and transportation or logistics contract management.
• Experience managing supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards, business reviews, and structured improvement plans.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Employment visa sponsorship is not available, and individuals on time-limited visa status will not be considered.

Nice to have

• 15+ years of logistics, transportation, supply chain, or category management experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Upstream operating experience in drilling, completions, production, facilities, construction, or related field activities.
• Experience managing transportation portfolios and carrier networks across the Permian Basin, Texas, and New Mexico.
• Knowledge of DOT compliance, transportation safety, carrier management, and operational risk mitigation.
• Experience with SMART by GEP, Power BI, IronSight by Kabal, transportation management systems, and Microsoft 365.
