Building Systems Engineer (BMS/EPMS)

Location: Dallas, TX, US; primarily remote-based with periodic site visits for system assessment, installation, and troubleshooting.

What you will do

• Design and implement BMS and EPMS solutions integrated with building infrastructure.
• Analyze system performance to improve energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance functionality.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot complex BMS and EPMS issues.
• Ensure systems comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
• Maintain system documentation and prepare performance and improvement reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and facility managers, and train facility staff on system operation and maintenance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in building systems engineering focused on BMS and EPMS.
• Expertise in BMS and EPMS technologies, including relevant software and tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Tridium, Distech, and Automated Logic.
• BMS/EPMS manufacturer training or certification, HVAC or electrical equipment certification, LEED, CEM, or equivalent certifications.
