Senior Manager, EPC Estimation (BESS)

Location: United States; remote. Domestic and international travel of up to 30% is required.

What you will do

• Develop cost estimates and global EPC proposals for battery energy storage systems and data center projects.
• Design technology-agnostic energy storage solutions that address customer requirements.
• Create RFPs and RFQs and coordinate with procurement to identify suitable EPC partners.
• Perform techno-economic analysis, site evaluation, technology selection, optimization, and detailed costing.
• Interpret and create single-line diagrams and site layouts representing proposed solutions.
• Develop proposal tools and processes and support strategic EPC partnerships.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of engineering experience with energy storage systems and 2 years with renewable generation technologies.
• At least 5 years of construction experience with renewable energy systems.
• Experience with EPC contract negotiations, subcontractors, technical solution proposals, electrical power systems, and renewable energy project estimating.
• Knowledge of electrical design, conductor sizing, protection and controls, substation concepts, inverter-based power systems, and electricity markets.
• Basic knowledge of NEC, IBC, IEC, and IEEE requirements for renewable energy and energy storage projects.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check is required; hirify.global participates in E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or similar engineering.
• Existing relationships with North American EPC companies.
• Renewable energy or data center project management experience.
