Head of Engineering (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco or Denver; in-office, in-person work with the team five days a week.

Base salary: $250,000–$300,000 per year, plus variable compensation and equity.

hirify.global is a fintech and proptech company helping rental-property owners unlock real-estate equity and time through a technology-enabled Direct 721 Exchange platform, Private Client offerings, and new exchange funds and vehicles.

What you will do

• Set and own technical direction, architecture, engineering standards, and the roadmap while continuing to write and review production code.
• Run sprints, allocate work, manage requirements, sequence priorities, and push back on products or ideas that are not worth building.
• Scale the existing exchange-fund infrastructure to support five to ten times current funnel volume without equivalent headcount growth.
• Build and refine infrastructure for new exchange funds, regions, asset classes, distribution products, and integrations with financial advisors and custodial platforms.
• Keep regulated investment transactions safe while running fast, measurable go-to-market experiments.
• Hire, develop, and retain engineers; work directly with the CEO, COO, acquisitions, investor relations, and operations.

Requirements

• Experience leading engineers at a growth-stage fintech or financial infrastructure company and readiness for the top technical seat.
• Meaningful production coding experience within the last year and a desire to remain hands-on.
• Experience shipping software where correctness matters and errors can cost real money or trust, such as payments, lending, brokerage, or infrastructure.
• Ability to frame problems before solving them and require the same from others.
• Strong opinions about what should be built and the conviction to argue for them with senior business leaders.
• Calmness under pressure and the ability to shield the team from noise without hiding information.
• Ability to operate as product manager, architect, and senior engineer within the same week.
• Willingness to work in person from an office with the team five days a week.
