Presales Solutions Engineer - SecOps/SIEM (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote; required to reside in the Northeast region of the United States, with the listed home office location in New York. Ability to travel to SHI, partner, and customer events is required.

Base salary: $96,000–$184,000 annually. Estimated on-target earnings, including base salary and bonus: $120,000–$230,000.

What you will do

• Collaborate with account teams to assess customer cybersecurity technologies, needs, goals, and objectives.
• Engage with customer stakeholders including CIOs, CSOs, CISOs, security engineers, and procurement teams.
• Design and deliver security operations product presentations, demonstrations, collateral, and sales enablement training.
• Develop SIEM and cybersecurity use cases in SHI lab facilities to support customer engagements.
• Maintain knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, market trends, industry developments, and SHI solution offerings through training, research, and self-study.

Requirements

• Experience working with identity management and security solutions.
• Deep technical knowledge of identity governance and security operations, including SIEM, SOAR, TIP, Dark Web scanning, CLM/PKI, and BAS controls.
• Expert technical knowledge of security solutions and a general understanding of NIST, HITRUST, and CIS security frameworks.
• Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to run demonstrations of security operations products.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, documentation, organization, attention to detail, and follow-up skills.
• Strong documentation skills, including system and network diagrams and presentations.
• Completed bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, 5+ years of experience in a technical cybersecurity role, and 3+ years of experience in security presales consulting.
• Ability to travel to SHI, partner, and customer events.

Nice to have

• CISSP, relevant GIAC certification, SSCP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, CPT, CWSP, CCNP Security, CCIE Security, or relevant professional certification from a cybersecurity OEM.
