Presales Solutions Engineer (Data Security)

Location: Remote, required to reside in the TOLA region of the United States; travel to client, partner, and hirify.global locations required up to 20%.

Estimated annual pay range: $120,000–$230,000, including base salary and bonus.

What you will do

• Act as a customer-facing data security expert and take a consultative approach to cybersecurity projects.
• Collaborate with CIOs, CSOs, CISOs, security engineers, procurement contacts, and other client stakeholders to understand business objectives.
• Develop and deliver security services offerings, cybersecurity sales collateral, and use cases in hirify.global lab facilities.
• Educate sales teams on cybersecurity solution selling, key technologies, and customer value propositions.
• Scope and assist in creating statements of work for professional services aligned with recommended products and solutions.
• Track technology, market, and industry trends while expanding job-related knowledge through training, self-study, and lab work.

Requirements

• Experience and understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, HITRUST, and CIS at an intermediate level.
• Intermediate-level technical cybersecurity knowledge, including Data Loss Prevention, Data Security Posture Management, Data Detection & Response, and file encryption.
• Ability to communicate and sell complex technical products or services by understanding customer needs, articulating value propositions, and supporting the sales process.
• Expertise in mainstream technologies including Proofpoint, zScaler, Mimecast, Cyera, Varonis, Concentric, and Sentra.
• Completed bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a technical cybersecurity role.
• At least 3 years of experience in security presales consulting.
• Strong presentation, negotiation, communication, organization, follow-up, problem-solving, relationhirify.globalp-building, documentation, detail-orientation, and results-orientation skills.
• Willingness to travel to client locations, internal meetings, engagements, conferences, partner sites, and hirify.global offices up to 20% and work extended hours for some special projects.

Nice to have

• Advanced certification in one or more of CISSP, a relevant GIAC certification, SSCP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, CPT, CWSP, CCNP Security, CCIE Security, or relevant professional cybersecurity OEM certifications.
