Senior Software Engineer (Salesforce)

Location: Hybrid in Warren, Michigan, United States; 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. Must be able to report to the local office.

What you will do

• Build new business technology capabilities and improve existing platform features in collaboration with business technology specialists and designers.
• Customize, develop, support, and enhance Salesforce solutions on the Force.com platform.
• Build integrations between Salesforce and internal systems to automate business processes.
• Develop Apex classes and triggers, JavaScript, Lightning Components, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce Flows, OmniScript, and Flex Cards.
• Verify solutions through automated test classes, document processes and code, and maintain a code repository for seamless deployments.
• Collaborate with, mentor, and guide other engineers while staying current with Salesforce releases and solving business problems from inception through implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Five years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Technical Consultant, System Engineer, or in a related occupation.
• Five years of experience in software development, object-oriented design patterns, database concepts and data modeling, and application design and architecture.
• Three years of experience programming and configuring Force.com Apex, including classes and triggers, Lightning Components, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce Flows, OmniScript, Flex Cards, JavaScript ES6, and ReactJS.
• Three years of experience designing and developing large-scale technology solutions with substantial knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Communities.
• Three years of experience with Salesforce SOQL and SOSL, the Salesforce security model, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Chatter, and Force.com product offerings.
• Understanding of Salesforce Lightning UI and user-based security models, plus the ability to identify platform risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence, and work collaboratively.
