Senior Engineering Manager, Data Platform

Location: New York, NY or Pittsburgh, PA; must be able to work from or relocate to Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY

Salary: $204,000–$306,000 USD base salary, supplemented by equity compensation

What you will do

• Lead the Experiments Team and oversee the in-house Experiment Platform supporting the product development lifecycle.
• Expand the platform to support sophisticated A/B tests, statistical methods, experiment automation, and backend-based control of the learner experience.
• Enable product teams to evaluate key metrics confidently and gate access to new functionality.
• Scale the platform for substantially increased experiment velocity while maintaining statistical soundness and cost efficiency.
• Partner with product teams on measuring complex product scenarios and advising on experiment strategy.
• Shape hirify.global’s product lifecycle through experimentation.

Requirements

• Experience leading, managing, and building software engineering teams, including hiring, developing, and retaining talent.
• Track record of building scalable infrastructure and working with large datasets.
• Experience with A/B testing through experiment infrastructure or product development.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills, especially between product and platform teams.
• Ability to work from or relocate to Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY.

Nice to have

• Experience building an experimentation platform or A/B testing-related tooling.
• Experience in a high-speed product development environment.
• Comfort with the statistical methods behind hypothesis testing.
