Salary: $211,513–$264,391 USD annually.

What you will do

• Hire, onboard, coach, develop, and manage the performance of software engineers.
• Plan and prioritize team work while guiding predictable delivery of high-quality software.
• Shape the architecture of scheduling, workflow management, application security, and database systems.
• Partner with senior and staff engineers on reliability, scalability, security, and technical tradeoffs.
• Coordinate cross-team technical initiatives and translate customer, security, and operational needs into roadmap priorities.
• Promote design documentation, thoughtful code review, modularity, testability, and durable engineering practices.

Requirements

• Experience managing software engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Experience building and shipping production software and making sound architectural decisions.
• Knowledge of SQL, application security, platform scalability, clean code, modularity, testability, and backward compatibility.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience with distributed, asynchronous teams.
• Experience leading cross-team technical initiatives and influencing engineering direction.
• Ability to take high-impact problems from definition through execution.

Nice to have

• Experience with data platforms or data engineering systems.
• Understanding of application security principles.
