Financial Analyst (AI)

Location: Chicago, United States; working in the office five days a week is preferred.

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 base salary annually, with potential discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Perform month-end close activities for management company entities.
• Build and maintain annual budgets, rolling forecasts, budget-to-actual analyses, and variance analyses.
• Review fund administrator books and investor statements and assist with investor reporting.
• Process invoices, credit card transactions, and expense reimbursements through Ramp.
• Assist with regulatory reporting, fund audits, financial statements, K-1s, K-3s, 1099s, and tax filings.
• Use AI tools to streamline workflows, analysis, and reporting; validate AI output and help implement new Finance tools, including an AI-native accounting platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 1–3 years of experience in finance or accounting within a financial services or audit firm.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong bias for action, accountability, and urgency.
• Collaborative approach and focus on delivering results as a team.

Nice to have

• CPA designation.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and FP&A processes.
• Proficiency with AI tools for analysis, workflow automation, and productivity.
• Knowledge of management company accounting and taxes, fund accounting, and fund taxes.
• Exposure to US and international tax or international offices.
• Investor reporting experience.
• Experience auditing hedge funds, performing hedge fund tax compliance, or working directly at a hedge fund.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting or ERP systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Ramp, and Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services tools.
