Associate, Retail Routes Performance

Location: Remote - United States; preference for presence in the Ventura, California office

Salary: $71K plus equity compensation

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and run weekly performance scorecards for retail routes, tracking on-time rate, completion, returns, quality issues, and emerging trends.
• Coach partners and drivers on performance gaps, provide direct constructive feedback, and drive improvement plans through completion.
• Monitor quality as new routes and markets launch, helping performance remain stable or improve during growth.
• Use AI tools to automate reporting, surface insights, and accelerate performance reviews.
• Own performance-related projects from scoping and timelines through follow-through and results reporting.
• Work with internal teams, external stakeholders, and retail partners to deliver lasting performance improvements.

Requirements

• Strong data skills and confidence working with spreadsheets and retail or operational data to identify insights and take action.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools or a strong interest in using them to automate workflows and replace manual reporting.
• Ability to coach partners and drivers and provide direct, constructive feedback in difficult conversations.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with a record of progressing and closing multiple workstreams.
• High agency, close attention to detail, comfort with ambiguity, and willingness to investigate details rather than remain at a high level.

Nice to have

• Experience running scorecards, KPIs, or performance programs in retail or last-mile delivery.
• Experience using AI to automate or improve a reporting or analysis workflow.
• Experience with SQL or BI tools beyond spreadsheets.
• Experience maintaining high quality while an operation grew quickly.
