OT Automation Manager (Industry 4.0)

Location: Monterrey, Mexico; hybrid work model with the option to work from home up to two days per week. Availability to travel for installations, collaboration activities, and knowledge sharing across the global manufacturing network. No relocation assistance is offered.

What you will do

• Standardize automation platforms across Final Packing technologies to support consistent global operations.
• Lead installation and commissioning of production lines from an Operational Technology perspective.
• Identify and implement improvements to productivity, usability, serviceability, and equipment performance.
• Partner with local and global teams to deploy PLC software and automation standards.
• Provide technical guidance on automation architecture, robotics, networking, and digital manufacturing solutions.
• Support local capability development and the rollout of global automation platforms and digital manufacturing solutions.

Requirements

• Experience in automation programming, troubleshooting, and mechatronics applications in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems, including development, design, and commissioning.
• Experience supporting ABB and KUKA robotics platforms and related automation equipment.
• Fluent English communication skills and experience collaborating across cultures and time zones.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Keyence or Cognex machine vision platforms.
• Experience with Python, CI/CD practices, APIs, OT networking, MQTT, OPC UA, EPLAN, or PcSchematic.
