Senior Engineering Project Lead

Location: Remote; Boise, Idaho, US; Salt Lake City, Utah, US. U.S. citizenship is required, and a Department of Defense Secret security clearance must be obtainable within a reasonable time.

Salary: USD $173,032.00–$182,495.00 per year.

What you will do

• Plan, authorize, monitor, and lead engineering work for small- to medium-sized projects and engineering teams.
• Staff project teams, manage engineering resources and scope, and coordinate organizational interfaces and subcontracted engineering efforts.
• Ensure total system requirements are validated and systems are integrated, tested, and verified.
• Manage engineering plans, deliverables, risks, opportunities, changes, project measures, and corrective actions.
• Lead technical issue resolution, status reviews, lessons learned, proposals, ECPs, and ROM development.
• Build cross-functional consensus, motivate team members, communicate project impacts, and provide performance feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field plus at least 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance within a reasonable time.
• Proven organizational, time-management, communication, leadership, team-building, motivation, conflict-resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving skills in complex environments.
• Internal recognition as fully proficient in project management and the ability to apply or develop highly advanced technologies, principles, theories, and concepts.
• Strong understanding of engineering processes, practices, company policies, and project life cycles, including agile.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
• Ability to communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions and present project topics to diverse audiences.
• Ability to apply project leadership principles including SPI/CPI, Earned Value, Cost Account Management, and Statistical Process Controls for complex programs.
• Ability to anticipate technology, process, and skill needs and identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
