Technical Project Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote within close proximity to the National Capital Region, Virginia, United States

Salary: $110,000–$125,000 annually

What you will do

• Manage the full life cycle of large-scale IT and cybersecurity projects from planning through implementation and closure.
• Coordinate technical execution across SOC, CDM, CI/CD, security engineering, and operations teams.
• Lead Agile ceremonies, define project scope and schedules, and manage backlogs, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
• Oversee project documentation, including requirements, design documents, implementation plans, test plans, schedules, and CONOPS.
• Coordinate with federal stakeholders to align technical delivery with business goals, contract requirements, and compliance obligations.
• Present project status, risks, and recommendations to technical teams and senior government officials.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Remote work is limited to candidates located near the National Capital Region.
• 7+ years of experience supporting information technology projects in a Project Manager capacity.
• Active PMP certification is mandatory.
• Active Public Trust 6c clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
• Strong knowledge of IT, IAM, AWS GovCloud, ITIL, Agile development, and cybersecurity environments including CDM, SOC, DevSecOps, and vulnerability management.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• ITIL Foundation, Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe Agile, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or higher certification.
• CISSP or equivalent certification.
• Experience with NIST RMF, FedRAMP, OMB compliance, continuous monitoring, and POA&M remediation.
• Experience supporting large-scale federal civilian agency programs and hybrid SOC and engineering environments.
