Executive Protection Specialist

Location: Hybrid in Spring, Texas, United States; required to work from an HPE office an average of 2 days per week. Extensive domestic and international travel is required, potentially exceeding 50%, including short-notice travel and work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.

Salary: Annual base salary of USD 92,600–213,500 in Texas, United States. Variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Provide protection for C-level executives and other designated employees, including personal protection assignments, static post coverage, crisis response, physical security escorts, and coordination of ground transportation.
• Oversee high-risk executive travel and conduct advance preparations and security assessments for sites, residences, events, business meetings, and international travel.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, government agencies, emergency responders, industry peers, public officials, and other external counterparts on protective operations.
• Plan security and logistics for company-sponsored events and executive participation in partnership with internal teams.
• Identify, track, and mitigate threats and vulnerabilities; prepare executive communications, briefings, training sessions, reports, and security awareness activities for executives and their families.
• Maintain protective services proficiency, vehicles, mandatory emergency and medical equipment, licenses, certifications, and confidentiality; recommend and procure equipment and technology.

Requirements

• 5+ years of multinational security experience, including at least 3 years in executive security or protective services.
• Strong understanding of industry-specific legislation and compliance requirements.
• Current and valid driver’s license and passport.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, with travel potentially exceeding 50% due to operational needs.
• Proficiency with basic Microsoft computer software programs and communication techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate effectively under strenuous circumstances in other countries and work independently to implement and maintain security requirements.
• Ability to function as part of a team under challenging circumstances.
• Ability to maintain all applicable licenses and certifications and absolute confidentiality and privacy in accordance with applicable guidelines, policies, and laws.

Nice to have

• BS/BA degree preferred but not required; relevant experience may substitute for the preferred educational background.
