Sr. Manager - Network Security Engineering & Ops (Network Security)

Location: Remote in the United States; 24/7 support and on-call participation as needed.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor the Network Security Engineering & Operations team and align team culture with CISO organization goals and company values.
• Lead network security projects as Product Owner, including strategy, requirements gathering, scope definition, and timelines.
• Oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, capacity planning, upgrades, patching, and end-of-life transitions for firewalls, WAFs, load balancers, routers, switches, remote access, wireless access points, and related services.
• Manage relationships with partners and vendors, including budgeting and negotiations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on business-aligned initiatives.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for critical network security incidents, lead root cause analysis, and improve incident response processes and documentation.
• Maintain compliance, audits, risk mitigation, vulnerability remediation, service metrics, automation, redundancy, and resilience across network security operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience leading network and other engineering disciplines, including related architecture efforts.
• At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing enterprise network security or similar engineering disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of firewall, WAF, load balancer, DDoS, and microsegmentation technologies.
• Strong knowledge of routers, switches, and wireless technologies.
• Experience working with enterprise systems, cloud solutions, and IT and security technologies.
• Experience interfacing with senior management and communicating complex cybersecurity, security, and risk concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Extensive experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Strong business analysis, problem-solving, communication, follow-through, engagement, accountability, and high-pressure incident leadership skills.
• Willingness and ability to lead from the front and participate in 24/7 support and escalation as needed.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CISM, CCNP, or other relevant certifications.
