Module Engineering - PhD Intern (Wet Etch)

Location: On-site in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States; Shift 1.

Annual salary: $120,898–$120,902 USD.

What you will do

• Design, execute, and analyze process experiments to optimize Wet Etch module performance.
• Apply statistical analysis and data interpretation to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate and implement novel manufacturing techniques and technologies.
• Maintain accurate process documentation in compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot engineering issues and recommend solutions to improve module performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with technical teams on broader manufacturing objectives.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a PhD in a relevant STEM discipline, such as Physics, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience writing software code for applications in the relevant field of study.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse, high-performing team.
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to procedures.
• Data analysis skills, including constructing clear data-based problem statements and designing experiments.

Nice to have

• Experience with JMP, Python, Excel, or other data analysis tools.
• Ability to summarize data for technical and non-technical audiences.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Experience in semiconductor fabrication and/or a Wet Etch environment.
