Software Development Engineer (AWS Lambda Runtimes)

What you will do

• Develop and drive new and existing initiatives for AWS Lambda and the serverless ecosystem.
• Curate, patch, and deprecate Lambda managed runtimes for Python, NodeJS, Java, Ruby, Go, and DotNet.
• Develop and maintain custom runtimes and associated Lambda container images.
• Identify and solve problems across programming language ecosystems, build tooling, deployment, performance, and developer experience.
• Design, release, verify, and operate highly available, large-scale software while collaborating closely with customers.
• Participate in on-call operations and resolve production issues through root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• Professional, non-internship experience in software development.
• Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Experience across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
