Python Developer - Experienced Hire (Quantitative Trading)

What you will do

• Maintain and continuously improve a Python-based platform for quantitative researchers.
• Build, maintain, and support quantitative study environments connected to electronic trading systems.
• Collaborate with traders, quantitative researchers, and strategy developers to enable new trading behaviors.
• Work with large datasets to establish and maintain production-quality data pipelines.
• Participate in deployment, production support, and ongoing maintenance of trading software.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science or another scientific or technical field.
• Experience with Python and the Python scientific stack.
• Experience with distributed message-based systems and server-side software development.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle and exposure to agile development.
• Ability to propose technical solutions, self-manage, communicate effectively, and respond to changing priorities.
• Willingness to assist with production software deployment and maintenance.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of finance, trading concepts, and their requirements for systems development.
• Networking and operating systems knowledge, including Linux and Windows.
• Experience with web services, development frameworks, Java, C#, or another object-oriented language.
• Experience or interest in statistics, UI/UX design, relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
