Professional Services Category Manager/Sr Category Manager (Procurement)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; hybrid with 3 days onsite

Salary: $40–$45 per hour on W-2

What you will do

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies across professional services and benefits categories.
• Lead RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, market research, benchmarking, renewals, and sourcing events.
• Negotiate pricing, administrative fees, rebates, guarantees, service-level agreements, implementation obligations, and renewal protections.
• Analyze supplier proposals, claims and utilization trends, renewal projections, PBM economics, stop-loss terms, and total cost of ownership.
• Build vendor governance tools including scorecards, SLA dashboards, performance-guarantee trackers, renewal dashboards, and corrective-action plans.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, IT/Security, consultants, and business stakeholders to manage risk, compliance, implementation, and vendor performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least three years of related work experience.
• Experience sourcing indirect categories, excluding IT and contingent labor.
• Basic financial analysis and cost-savings experience, with strong Excel and project-management skills.
• Strong negotiation, communication, stakeholder-management, problem-solving, and analytical-storytelling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, ambiguity, complex stakeholder relationships, and audit-ready documentation.

Nice to have

• Degree or experience in procurement, supply chain, business, finance, accounting, benefits, medical, pharmaceutical, or related categories.
• Knowledge of Source-to-Pay systems, including Coupa and Levelpath.
• Experience with process mapping, supplier risk analysis, and vendor relationship management.
