Data Analytics, Business Systems Analyst IV

Location: On-site at the San Diego Headquarters, United States; remote work is not an option. Core business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with flexibility required for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Salary: $95,717–$132,808–$169,898 per year.

What you will do

• Interview end users, customers, and external clients to define requirements for complex software modifications and enhancements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, system requirements, flow charts, report mock-ups, and business rules.
• Facilitate design sessions with business and technical resources and consult on solution and database issues.
• Lead assigned projects, create project plans, prioritize tasks, and provide progress updates to stakeholders and management.
• Develop business processes, manage service requests and application releases, and ensure delivery meets specifications, timelines, and budget.
• Perform pre-release quality control and support software development and QA teams; mentor less experienced Business Systems Analysts when needed.

Requirements

• BS/BA and 6+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus 2 years of subject-matter expertise in the respective area.
• Knowledge of Visio and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Oracle databases and Oracle SQL, OLTP, relational databases, and client-server concepts.
• Working knowledge of the software development life cycle and experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Good project planning, negotiation, requirements gathering and elicitation, use case modeling, solutions requirements, activity and swim-lane diagramming, conflict management, and meeting facilitation skills.
• Strong interviewing, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, reasoning, and mathematical skills.
• Ability to understand supported hirify.global products and services from both business and technical perspectives.
• No supervisory responsibilities; no travel is required, although attendance at local conferences and meetings may be required.

Nice to have

• Certified Business Analysis Professional certification.
• Experience mentoring or providing functional work direction to less experienced Business Systems Analysts.
