Senior Business Technical Analyst

Location: Remote, California, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

Salary: $87,700–$157,800 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, validate, implement, and support complex data solutions, reports, applications, APIs, and automations.
• Develop ad-hoc reports and perform data analysis, reconciliation, audit sampling, validation, and control-compliance checks.
• Create and maintain SQL databases, stored procedures, ETL processes, data pipelines, data models, and Power BI reports.
• Translate business, audit, and regulatory requirements into technical designs and sustainable solutions.
• Lead complex technical initiatives, manage project risks and milestones, and coordinate with business, technology, risk and control, and vendor teams.
• Provide production support through monitoring, triage, root cause analysis, defect resolution, change implementation, and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4+ years of relevant programming experience with SAS, SQL, VB.NET, Oracle, or comparable technologies.
• Advanced SQL and relational database development experience, including database design, stored procedures, query performance tuning, ETL or data pipeline development, validation, and troubleshooting.
• 3+ years of business analysis experience translating requirements into technical designs and supporting complex work through production.
• U.S. work authorization is required; employment-based visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop, Report Builder, workspaces, gateways, deployment pipelines, service accounts, and security administration.
• Experience with .NET/C#, APIs, or comparable application development technologies.
• 3+ years of experience in healthcare claims, internal audit, payment integrity, regulatory reporting, or another highly controlled data environment.
• Microsoft Power BI or Microsoft data platform certification.
• Master's degree in mathematics, computer science, information systems, data analytics, or a related field.
