CAPEX Project Lead (Healthcare Manufacturing)

Location: Sesto Fiorentino, Firenze, Italy; onsite role

Salary: minimum €41,600 annually; initial pay may be higher based on skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. The position may also be eligible for benefits and incentives.

What you will do

• Collaborate with the Plant Manager and Engineering Manager to define the site investment plan and convert operational priorities into engineering projects.
• Lead assigned CAPEX projects from technical definition and approval documentation through installation, testing, start-up, closure, and operational handover.
• Monitor project scope, schedules, costs, risks, open actions, budgets, decisions, and next steps.
• Coordinate installation and commissioning of equipment, utilities, machinery, and plant systems while minimizing disruption to operations.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers, technical partners, Production, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, Engineering, Quality, and Validation.
• Support qualification activities and IQ/OQ documentation, EHS risk assessments, CAPEX estimates, drawings, manuals, specifications, certifications, and controlled project records.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education.
• Experience in engineering, maintenance, facilities, utilities, or capital-project execution.
• Understanding of project management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, cost, risk, supplier coordination, and reporting.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate stakeholders and keep projects moving forward.
• Good English proficiency for technical documentation and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GMP, EHS, technical documentation, and equipment or utility qualification principles.
