Project Manager - Interpreting (On-site)

Location: Rome, Italy, with periodic presence required at the Rome HQ. Flexible remote work is available, and remote candidates may complete training at the Rome headquarters.

Salary: €24,000–€44,000 gross annually, with higher offers possible for exceptionally strong candidates.

What you will do

• Manage interpreting projects ranging from individual meetings to multilingual, multi-day events.
• Consult clients on interpreting modes, language combinations, interpreter requirements, equipment, and platforms.
• Select, brief, and coordinate interpreters and technical specialists.
• Support sessions before, during, and after delivery by preparing materials, running technical checks, monitoring live sessions, and resolving issues.
• Manage project budgets, costs, profitability, timelines, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Senior Project Managers to improve workflows and processes.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as an interpreting Project Manager and extensive knowledge of interpreting events and modes.
• Strong familiarity with Remote Simultaneous Interpreting platforms and interpreting equipment.
• Excellent English proficiency required.
• Strong computer, web, communication, client-facing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly, manage stress, and handle substantial workloads during high-pressure live sessions.
• Availability to work on public holidays and outside standard hours when sessions require it.

Nice to have

• German or French language skills.
• Experience with localization projects.
