Senior Mechanical Engineer (Espresso Coffee Machines)

Location: Italy; hybrid working model combining office and home work

Salary: €48,000–€60,000 gross annual fixed compensation, plus variable compensation and work-from-home and phone allowances.

What you will do

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for Gaggia espresso coffee machines.
• Create, optimize, integrate, and validate mechanical designs from initial concept through detailed design and product verification.
• Translate consumer, product, and business requirements into robust, innovative, and manufacturable engineering solutions.
• Develop verification plans and collaborate with Manufacturing and suppliers on product integration and industrialization.
• Test, analyze, and refine designs against quality, compliance, cost, and performance targets to support production launches.
• Contribute to project planning and support lifecycle management and continuous improvement of existing products.

Requirements

• Technical diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in consumer products or coffee machine development.
• Strong experience with 3D CAD design, preferably Siemens NX.
• Knowledge of plastics, injection molding technologies, mechanical design principles, project management, quality processes, and product costs.
• Basic knowledge of product certification and regulatory requirements.
• Native-level Italian and good command of English required.
