Finance Manager – Distribution & Transportation

Location: Oak Brook, Illinois, United States; extensive travel across North America, up to 50%

Salary: $102,600–$165,375 annual base pay, plus benefits, 401(k) contribution, and eligibility for a short-term incentive plan

What you will do

• Serve as finance lead and business partner for Distribution and Transportation across eight North American facilities.
• Build and maintain financial models to monitor and forecast operational metrics and results.
• Lead annual budgeting and monthly financial forecasting to support timely business decisions.
• Analyze overhead spending, productivity projects, cost drivers, trends, and forecast risks; advise senior leadership on opportunities.
• Provide analytical reporting on transportation spend, maintain KPI reporting, and support monthly operational reviews.
• Implement finance process improvements, strengthen risk and internal controls, and support inventory cycle-counting initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of financial support experience in a manufacturing or distribution organization.
• Working knowledge of ERP financial systems, such as SAP, and data analysis.
• Ability to work and manage relationships in a matrix corporate environment.
• Outstanding written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to travel extensively, up to 50% of the time, across North America.

Nice to have

• Master of Business Administration, CPA, or CMA.
• Experience with activity-based costing and financial forecast development.
• Experience developing and presenting complex financial data in Microsoft Excel.
• SAP experience.
• Spanish proficiency.
