Senior Financial Analyst (Program Finance)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 base annually

What you will do

• Own financial tracking for funded programs and IRAD projects, including labor, burden, travel, and other direct costs.
• Partner with Program Management, Mission Operations, R&D, and Business Development to build budgets, staffing plans, and portfolio-level resource views.
• Set up project and charge codes across timekeeping, procurement, and accounting systems, and monitor purchase orders and actuals.
• Validate labor charging, maintain project forecasts, and calculate program margins at key milestones and close-out.
• Build pricing proposal models and estimates-at-completion for revenue recognition and customer audits.
• Flag resource conflicts, margin risks, and funding issues across active programs and IRAD projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in program finance, cost or project accounting, or FP&A.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills, with experience using ERP or timekeeping systems and setting up project codes.
• Working knowledge of fully burdened labor rates, including fringe, overhead, and G&A, and their impact on pricing and program margin.
• Ability to manage concurrent, fast-moving projects with competing labor and equipment demands.

Nice to have

• MBA or another advanced finance-related degree.
• Familiarity with FAR/CAS cost allowability for IRAD, NRE, and demonstration or prototype efforts.
• Knowledge of FFP, T&M, and cost-type government contracts and their connection to revenue recognition.
• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, or Datarails.
