Inventory Control Supervisor (Aerospace)

Location: Irvine, CA; onsite manufacturing environment. U.S. Person or lawful permanent resident status is required to comply with U.S. government space technology export regulations, and the position may require a current U.S. National Security clearance or eligibility.

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Oversee material kitting for vertically integrated satellite manufacturing and ensure sufficient material and components for production.
• Schedule workflows for inventory control, kitting support personnel, and material handlers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct continuous cycle counting, and perform root-cause corrective actions.
• Safeguard customer-furnished equipment and property and provide accurate inventory quantities and valuation reporting for accounting and audits.
• Create and maintain inventory control KPIs and metrics, support internal and customer audits, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support company growth projects, complete required training, and comply with facility, safety, and housekeeping regulations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in inventory and/or warehouse management and 5+ years of experience in a leadership position.
• Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics D365 experience is a plus within the required ERP experience.
• Experience with warehouse management systems.
• Ability to read and understand bills of material and engineering drawings.
• Self-motivated, with a record of quality and continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and objectives, balance priorities, and communicate across disciplines.
• U.S. Person or lawful permanent resident status, or eligibility to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management.
• APICS CPIM certification.
• Prior aerospace industry experience.
• Prior hazardous goods handling experience.
• Experience with ESD handling procedures.
