Project Manager (Healthcare)

Location: NL Head Office MHNL, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada; onsite role.

Salary: CAD 90,000–110,000 annually.

What you will do

• Manage projects from business requirements review through delivery, close, and transition of technical deliverables into operations.
• Plan and control project scope, goals, milestones, schedules, budgets, dependencies, critical paths, resources, and deliverables.
• Coordinate project teams, Operational Leads, Project Sponsors, stakeholders, support staff, technical staff, and subject matter experts.
• Manage risks, issues, scope changes, contingency plans, gap analysis, conflicts, and project interventions.
• Prepare project communications, progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, presentations, and communication plans.
• Track team hours, expenses, invoicing, receivables, project documentation, and attendance at interdepartmental and inter-facility meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or post-secondary courses or certification in Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Maintained Project Management Professional certification or active progress toward certification.
• Five or more years of experience in a progressively responsible leadership position.
• Direct experience and knowledge of project management techniques and tools, including scheduling and budgeting.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain simple and complex procedures.
• Experience working effectively with people and teams, motivating internal and external resources, and gaining colleagues’ confidence, trust, and respect.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills; initiative, decision-making ability, independence, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex changes using accepted project management methodology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially spreadsheets and word processing software, and project management software such as MS Project and MS SharePoint.
• General understanding of application, programming, database, and system design.
