Transportation Project Manager

Location: Surrey, Canada; onsite work in a company-designated office or field location

Salary: CAD $125,000–$130,000 per year, paid weekly

Electrical contractor delivering commercial, industrial, utility, and transportation construction projects across Western Canada, with a focus on sustainability and major infrastructure projects.

What you will do

• Plan and manage project stages, schedules, deliverables, budgets, and contractual commitments.
• Prepare labor and material cost estimates, field take-offs, bills of material, and change orders.
• Coordinate clients, subcontractors, construction personnel, purchasing, and internal project stakeholders.
• Monitor job costs against budgets and prepare progress reports, billing information, and management updates.
• Lead meetings, field walk-downs, document reviews, and constructability assessments.
• Mentor junior project management staff and coordinators throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of project management and estimating experience in the electrical industry.
• Knowledge of specifications, proposals, project documentation, NFPA, NEC, and applicable local codes.
• Ability to read civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical plans and specifications.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Accubid or equivalent estimating software.
• Ability to prepare construction schedules using Microsoft Project and/or Primavera and work on concurrent projects.

Nice to have

• Previous SkyTrain or LRT systems experience.
