Transportation Project Manager

Location: Surrey, Canada; onsite work in a company-designated office or field location

Salary: CAD $125,000–$130,000 per year, paid weekly.

What you will do

• Plan and manage electrical and systems transportation construction projects, ensuring contractual commitments are delivered on time and within budget.
• Prepare construction schedules, look-ahead documents, progress reports, billing information, and client deliverables.
• Develop labor and material cost estimates, perform field take-offs, prepare bills of material, and participate in estimate reviews.
• Monitor job costs against budgets, support change orders, and report project status to management.
• Coordinate project personnel, clients, subcontractors, construction staff, meetings, field walk-downs, and outstanding project items.
• Mentor junior project management staff and coordinators throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of project management and estimating experience in the electrical industry.
• Knowledge of specifications, proposals, project documentation, NFPA, N.E.C., and relevant local codes.
• Ability to read civil, architectural, structural, and mechanical plans and specifications as they relate to electrical work.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience preparing schedules in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera.
• Applicants must already be authorized to work in Canada; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Previous SkyTrain or LRT systems experience.
• Experience with Accubid or equivalent estimating software.
