Logistics Tech Lead (Automotive)

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership, guidance, coaching, and instruction to logistics employees in the assigned area in coordination with the disciplinary manager.
• Plan and assure loading and unloading of containers, railroad cars, and trucks, determine transport sequences, and coordinate employees and industrial trucks.
• Manage receiving, high-bay, shipping, material commissioning, inventory control, cycle counts, and warehouse material flow.
• Prepare, issue, check, and maintain shipping, customs, packing, hazardous-materials, and other transported-goods documentation.
• Maintain accurate and timely raw-material and finished-goods movements in the HOST materials management system, including investigating disruptions and initiating corrective measures.
• Support logistics supervisors with production plans, quality-related material retesting, housekeeping, safety, shift handovers, training records, and employee scheduling recommendations.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of receiving, high-bay, and shipping processes.
• Extensive knowledge of HOST.
• Ability to coordinate logistics employees and industrial trucks and to support daily material-flow and production requirements.
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory and system records and handle shipping, customs, packing, and hazardous-materials documentation.
• Ability to identify causes of disruptions, document malfunctions, initiate measures, and ensure work procedures are followed.
• Ability to support inventory audits, cycle counts, quality retesting processes, 6S housekeeping, safety, environmental requirements, and emergency situations.
