IT Security Senior Engineer (Network Security)

What you will do

• Design secure LAN/WAN, hybrid cloud, and SaaS architectures and define reusable reference patterns.
• Lead medium-to-large initiatives including network segmentation, SASE expansion, and firewall modernization from design through delivery.
• Engineer firewall, WAF, DDoS protection, API security, load balancing, Azure connectivity, microsegmentation, and identity-integrated controls.
• Serve as the Level 3 escalation point for high-severity incidents, lead root-cause analysis, produce post-incident reports, and drive systemic resilience improvements.
• Define automation standards, build reusable security modules and guardrails, and integrate secure connectivity controls into CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code pipelines.
• Mentor engineers, conduct technical reviews, communicate architecture and risk decisions, and collaborate with stakeholders and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 7–10+ years of hands-on experience in network security engineering, including cloud networking and enterprise platforms.
• Deep expertise in firewall and WAF policy architecture, routing, segmentation, and cloud networking controls.
• Experience with enterprise firewalls, WAF, DDoS protection, API security, load balancing, microsegmentation, Zero Trust, ZTNA, SASE/SSE, and SD-WAN architectures.
• Experience designing Azure network architecture at scale, including hub-and-spoke, routing, private connectivity, shared services, and resiliency patterns.
• Experience with telemetry, logging, SIEM, and NDR tool integrations.
• Advanced automation and scripting skills with Python or PowerShell, plus CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Ability to lead complex troubleshooting and high-impact incident response, and to design sustainable solutions with documentation, runbooks, lifecycle management, and monitoring.
• Ability to communicate complex architecture and risk decisions to technical and business stakeholders, demonstrate leadership through mentorship and technical reviews, and prioritize under pressure.

Nice to have

• CCNP or CCIE in Security or Enterprise, or equivalent experience.
• Azure cloud networking or security certification; AWS or GCP certification is a plus.
• SASE or SD-WAN certification, such as Zscaler.
