Information Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote in the United States, working in the Eastern Time Zone; based from a Pennsylvania home office. Travel up to 10% annually is required.

What you will do

• Act as a lead subject-matter expert for security tools including CASB, vulnerability scanning, and endpoint protection platforms.
• Lead the vulnerability management program and work with the patching team to reduce the attack surface.
• Provide security engineering expertise for company-wide technology projects, including security standards, baselines, and solution research.
• Evaluate, test, configure, and implement security solutions for detection, prevention, containment, identity management, access control, and intrusion prevention.
• Maintain incident response procedures, coordinate periodic computer incident response team activations, and track security requests and events.
• Develop security documentation, reporting, event correlation, and operational processes for security systems and applications.

Requirements

• Remote work must be performed from the United States in the Eastern Time Zone.
• At least two years of experience running security solutions in network engineering, security engineering, or security operations.
• Knowledge of firewalls, SIEM, NAC, CASB, DLP, IPS/IDS, encryption, authentication, tokenization, XDR/EDR, and desktop virtualization security.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft workstation and server operating systems, UNIX, WAN/LAN networks, network protocols, vulnerability scanners, VMware, VDI, PKI, and cloud security solutions.
• Experience with Palo Alto Firewall Suite, vulnerability assessment, enterprise patching, security risk assessment, and network security architecture.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, electrical engineering, data network security architecture, or a related field.
