Claim Professional, Solicitor (Insurance)

What you will do

• Handle Solicitors and Professional Indemnity claims across investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution.
• Open claims, set reserves, and investigate policy coverage, liability, and quantum.
• Provide legal assistance where required and communicate decisions on coverage.
• Negotiate settlements and monitor vendor performance, cost, and service quality.
• Work closely with Professional Risks Claims, underwriters, risk management, and other business areas.
• Support team members and participate in individual and shared projects without managing others.

Requirements

• Thorough experience handling Financial Lines, with a strong emphasis on Solicitors professional negligence claims.
• Thorough technical expertise and a proven record of managing key client accounts, addressing business trends and issues, and mitigating risks and exposures.
• Advanced communication skills and credibility.
• Intermediate strategic planning, business perspective, collaborative relationship-building, openness to influence and flexibility, and teamwork.
• ACII or equivalent insurance certification.
• Legal Degree / LLB or equivalent.
• Some prior insurance-related activity experience, such as paralegal, insurance operations, or insurance broking.
