Junior Bodily Injury Claims Handler (Motor Insurance)

What you will do

• Manage a personal caseload of OIC Portal claims from instruction through settlement or litigation.
• Liaise with clients, claimants, and third parties to progress cases efficiently.
• Handle indemnity, liability, and quantum investigations and disputes.
• Review medical records and expert reports to value general and special damages.
• Identify and refer fraudulent activity, questionable underwriting, and large-loss flags.
• Seek opportunities to technically progress cases and support the Team Leader.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of proven experience handling motor-related bodily injury claims from inception through settlement.
• Familiarity with government-linked personal injury frameworks and portals, including the Official Injury Claims Portal (OICP).
• Technical knowledge of UK motor insurance coverages, bodily injury, the Pre-Action Protocol, and Civil Procedure Rules.
• Deep understanding of indemnity, liability assessment, and quantum.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving attitude.
• Comfort working in a growing or scale-up business environment.
