Staff Frontend Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, California; Jacksonville, Florida; or New York, New York. Remote work is available in California and New York.

Base salary: USD 150,000–175,000 per year, depending on location, experience, skills, education, and performance.

What you will do

• Develop modular, scalable frontend applications for the Geneva portfolio management and accounting platform.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, research, development, code reviews, deployment, and testing.
• Build reusable components and contribute to presentation-layer standards and design systems.
• Improve user experience, performance, accessibility, security, and application delivery.
• Collaborate with UX, Business Analyst, and QA teams.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture decisions, design reviews, code reviews, mentoring, and technology roadmaps.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional web UI or frontend development experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience designing and evolving large-scale enterprise single-page application architectures.
• Deep knowledge of frontend architecture, component design, state management, routing, API integration, performance, accessibility, testing, and web security.
• Experience with REST or gRPC integration, shared frontend platforms, observability, build systems, dependency management, and application delivery optimization.
• Demonstrated staff-level technical leadership and experience collaborating with UX and design teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with monorepos, micro-frontends, or modular architectures using Nx, Turborepo, or pnpm workspaces.
• Experience with Redux Toolkit, TanStack Query, Angular, Vue, GraphQL, or WebSockets.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools and workflows.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Webpack, and NPM Scripts.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies and wealth management or financial services.
