Technical Product Manager, Integrations (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY, United States; additional location: Warren Twp, NJ, United States.

Salary range: $200,000–$225,000 annually. Salary may vary based on education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Own data flows into, through, and out of the Altic network across orders, confirmations, positions, activity, and cash for alternatives trades.
• Design reusable connectivity patterns and choose between real-time APIs, webhooks, message queues, and nightly file exchanges based on counterparty capabilities and lifecycle requirements.
• Lead technical discovery, design, specification, testing, and go-live with wealth platforms, trading and order management platforms, custodians, transfer agents, and fund administrators.
• Own Altic's API surface, file specifications, error semantics, versioning, documentation, sandbox behavior, and test data.
• Improve production integration quality through monitoring, reconciliation, failure-mode design, upstream validation, and exception handling with Operations.
• Work with Engineering, Architecture, Network Rules and Governance, Operations, Business Development, Partnerships, GPs, and asset managers; use AI for format mapping, test data generation, specification drafting, and log analysis.

Requirements

• Experience owning integrations as a product rather than as a series of projects, including a reusable pattern that made subsequent onboarding faster.
• Comfort with REST, JSON, webhooks, message queues, and batch file exchange; practical knowledge of fixed-width and delimited files over SFTP, including control totals, late or partial files, and missed nightly cycles.
• Ability to define field-level meanings, determine mandatory versus optional fields, and map counterparty formats to a canonical model without losing meaning.
• Ability to analyze systems that were not designed to communicate, determine where data should live and what should move, and optimize the flow.
• Understanding of the alternatives trade lifecycle, including subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, distributions, post-trade servicing, and the roles of custodians, transfer agents, fund administrators, and platforms.
• Ability to lead design sessions with external engineering teams, evaluate their architectures, and produce mutually agreed specifications.
• Hands-on use of AI techniques, no-code tools, and low-code tools for automation and prototyping; preference for building working prototypes over writing requirements alone.
• Ability to work precisely with constrained counterparties, prototype solutions, and treat production failures as design signals.

Nice to have

• Experience with DTCC Fund/SERV, NSCC Networking, or AIP.
• Direct experience at a custodian, transfer agent, fund administrator, or wealth platform.
• Alternatives operations or product experience at a firm such as iCapital or CAIS.
• Order management or trading platform integration experience.
• Knowledge of the wealth management channel and managed accounts, including model-driven and portfolio-driven trading.
