Junior Developer, Compliance (Python)

Location: New York, New York; the position is also available in London, United Kingdom.

Base salary: £90,000–£110,000 in London or $120,000–$150,000 in New York, plus discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain data feeds for employee profiles, communication surveillance, and trading activity.
• Maintain compliance alerts that support regulatory obligations, escalation, and auditability.
• Contribute to a compliance restrictions system enabling firmwide trading.
• Standardize trade and order data across trading systems and support data enrichment and integrations for regulatory reporting and trade surveillance.
• Work with senior developers and Legal & Compliance stakeholders to translate policies and regulatory rules into technical workflows and controls.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional software development experience, including committing code to production environments.
• Proficiency in Python for software development.
• Strong foundation in React, TypeScript, REST APIs, and SQL.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS RDS, Postgres, MySQL, Git, and modern development workflows.
• Experience or willingness to participate in on-call rotations for critical systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• A curious mindset and willingness to learn quickly.

Nice to have

• Experience working on trading platforms and with order and execution data.
• Exposure to AWS or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Docker or CI/CD pipelines.
