Software Engineer (.NET/Java)

What you will do

• Develop, enhance, integrate, test, and deploy software applications, including applications running in cloud environments.
• Provide bug fixes, enhancements, and GUI improvements; modify application source code in response to requirements and change requests.
• Design and develop REST APIs, maintain software library designs, and ensure modularity, reuse, clean subsystem interfaces, and coding-standard compliance.
• Integrate externally developed code into core libraries, coordinate with configuration management, and install and configure application software.
• Develop software for Sponsor networks, including audio/video libraries, image-processing algorithms, operating systems, file systems, and device drivers as assigned.
• Conduct lifecycle and regression testing, support release-readiness standards, and provide software availability and reliability metrics during monthly status reviews.

Requirements

• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• At least 2 years of software engineering experience within the last 5 years.
• Demonstrated experience with at least 3 of the following: .NET, Visual Basic, Java, JavaScript, Tomcat, SQL, XML, Python, HTML, LDAP certificates, Apache, and Ruby.
• The team must collectively demonstrate experience across all of the listed technologies.
• Demonstrated experience with full-lifecycle Agile software development projects.
• Demonstrated experience with software issue-tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or another related scientific or technical discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience developing Android applications.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining applications within AWS or Sponsor cloud computing services.
• Working knowledge of GIS software, including Google Maps and Google Earth.
• Knowledge of continuous software development and software integration best practices.
• Experience working with INFOSEC and Information Assurance policies such as ICD 503 to ensure system security and data integrity.
• Experience deploying the complete DevOps lifecycle, including build-pipeline integration, automated deployments, compliance scanning, and test-driven development.
