Senior DBA (SQL, Postgres)

Location: Hybrid in Allen, Texas, United States; onsite at the Allen office one day per week. Travel: 5%.

What you will do

• Design, develop, modify, and optimize databases and database applications for high-volume transaction processing.
• Write and review stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and other database objects.
• Tune queries using execution plans and indexing, and maintain performance baselines and unit tests.
• Support database CI/CD tooling, deployment scripts, rollback scripts, version control, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with scrum teams and application developers on data access layer performance, security, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
• Train and mentor junior team members and help resolve SQL Server setup and application issues.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in database administration.
• Experience writing SQL queries.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming.
• Ability to work the hybrid schedule with onsite attendance in Allen, Texas.
• Immigration sponsorship and support are not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience writing and optimizing complex queries and tuning database performance.
• Knowledge of payment systems and solutions.
• Strong communication, writing, and diagramming skills.
• Experience with Go.
