Sr. Manager / Deputy Director - Facilities / Construction Management (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: On site at Fab 9 in Essex Junction, Vermont, United States; weekday hours with occasional evening/weekend support.

Salary: $143,000.00–$247,000.00 annually; exact salary depends on qualifications, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Lead execution of a $500M–$1B semiconductor capital construction program and serve as the primary construction representative.
• Drive project strategy, governance, risk management, executive reporting, and delivery against safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
• Manage the General Contractor, including performance, issue resolution, executive reviews, and compliance with contractual, safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
• Oversee construction and integration of cleanrooms, process tools, utilities, HVAC, specialty gas and chemical systems, electrical infrastructure, controls, exhaust, process cooling, and commissioning.
• Lead and develop construction and project management teams while driving accountability, collaboration, safety, inclusion, continuous improvement, talent development, succession planning, and performance management.
• Partner with Facilities, Manufacturing, Engineering, EHS, Procurement, Finance, and leadership teams to align execution with business and operational priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related technical field.
• 15+ years leading large industrial construction projects and 10+ years managing technical and project teams.
• Experience as an owner’s representative or client-side leader on major capital projects, including programs exceeding $500M in total project value.
• Proven success delivering complex projects in fast-paced environments.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing facilities and infrastructure, including cleanroom construction, commissioning, tooling installation, and startup.
• Familiarity with specialty gas, chemicals, HVAC, utilities, electrical, controls, exhaust, and process cooling systems.
• Expertise in contracts, project controls, scheduling, risk, and budget management.
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and complex project execution, including contractors, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, influencing, strategic thinking, hands-on leadership, and results-driven decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor fab expansions and greenfield or brownfield projects.
• Advanced manufacturing facility construction experience.
• PE, PMP, CCM, or similar certification.
• Master’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration.
• Experience leading multi-site or global construction programs.
