Senior EHS Advisor (Pharmaceutical Construction)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain a proactive health and safety culture for a large-scale pharmaceutical construction project.
• Ensure compliance with local and national health and safety legislation during the construction phase.
• Develop and implement project-specific safety strategies, programmes, plans, and behavioural safety initiatives.
• Coordinate site safety resources, access and security, inductions, first aid, welfare, emergency arrangements, and contractor activities.
• Monitor performance through audits, inspections, reports, leading and lagging indicators, and continuous improvement programmes.
• Coordinate incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, safety training, workshops, and awareness briefings.

Requirements

• Primary degree in Engineering, Science, or an equivalent discipline, together with a recognised Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a related construction health and safety role.
• Advanced knowledge of construction health and safety principles and occupational safety and health practices.
• Experience developing and implementing health and safety management systems and behavioural safety programmes in construction projects.
• Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills across project management and operational levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice to have

• Chartered membership of IOSH or an equivalent qualification.
