Safety Manager (France)

Location: Paris, France — hybrid work from the Paris office

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures for French operations.
• Own DUERP documentation, site risk assessments, annual updates, and action plans for warehouses, logistics areas, and offices.
• Analyse accidents, near misses, safety-critical events, and trends to identify root causes and prevention measures.
• Conduct and coordinate audits, inspections, and incident investigations across warehouses, field operations, transportation, and battery handling.
• Coordinate or deliver first aid, fire safety, evacuation, and other health and safety training.
• Manage external safety consultants in Italy and Spain and review their audits, reports, and risk assessments.

Requirements

• Degree or professional qualification in occupational health and safety, HSE, risk prevention, or equivalent experience.
• Proven HSE management experience, ideally across multiple sites or countries.
• Strong knowledge of French health and safety law, including the Code du travail, DUERP, CSE/CSSCT, accident reporting, and prevention plans.
• Experience with policies, procedures, risk assessments, safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience delivering training and managing external consultants or service providers.
• Fluency in French and English is required.

Nice to have

• CSTMD/ADR dangerous goods safety adviser certification or willingness to obtain it within 6–12 months with company support.
• Relevant fire safety qualification, such as SSIAP where applicable.
• Experience in logistics, mobility, transportation, warehouse operations, or similar industries.
• Knowledge of lithium-ion battery handling and storage.
• Italian or Spanish language skills.
